Designing 'a room with a view'

Highgate, London

Project Vision

We had the pleasure of working alongside Amos Goldreich Architecture on the design and remodel of our client’s1930’s home. The brief for the extension was to allow the beautiful garden to be the focal point of the home, and for the interiors to further complement the architecture.

The client’s love of geometric, modern and colourful art helped shape the concept and allowed us to experiment with lines and angles in our furniture and lighting selections, with small accents of black connecting the design of each room.

Project Delivery

We opted for a beautiful shaker-style kitchen with a light, fresh palette, and super simple handles, creating a calm and minimal view from the living room, paired perfectly with the linen-style wallpaper.

Simple, neutral walls were chosen throughout to provide the perfect backdrop letting each carefully selected art piece do the talking. Although the floor-to-ceiling window was the stand-out feature, we still wanted the space to feel private and calm with warm tones coming through in the curtains and armchair.

We appointed Mia Karlsson Interior Design to advise us on planning the interior of an extension and also to refresh and update a number of other rooms and they were able to achieve a great overall result. We recommend Mia Karlsson Interior Design without reservation.
